Phuket beaches are one of the main reasons why people visit Phuket each year. Ask someone in Europe or the U.S what comes in mind first when hearing the name Phuket and most likely the answer would be Phuket's tropical white sandy beaches.

The Phuket beaches are certainly a good reason for choosing Phuket as your next holiday destination. There are numerous Phuket hotels that are located right on one of the Phuket beaches so there are plenty of Phuket travel options.

Many of the Phuket beaches are unknown to most tourists who frequently stay near their resort area. Some of the nicest Phuket beaches you can visit include: Kata beach, Rawai beach, Nai Yang beach and Bang Tao beach.

You should explore the island and the beautiful Phuket beaches and not stick to the beach of the Phuket hotels near which you are staying. Local expats prefer the quietness and cleanliness of a beach like Surin rather than the always busy Patong Beach.
